On Monday April 24, 2016 at 7pm crews trained with our forcible entry prop under the leadership of Lt Hiro. The prop gives our members the opportunity to practice at many different aspects on how to force a door open.

Members also continued with the "air consumption drill"; the goal of this drill is to give a firefighter an idea the time that would consume an entire cylinder of air. The drill is timed and the first time is recorded when the low air alarm activates and the firefighter continues to work until they are out of air and that time is recorded.

This drill gives the firefighter two important numbers to remember 1: how long a 45 minute cylinder will last them while working and 2: how much time they have left in the cylinder when the low air alarm rings before they are totally out of air.
