2013.01.17 Forcible Entry Training

On Thursday January 10th 2013, Assistant Chief Will, Lieutenant Herman, and Firefighter Hiro held a forcible entry drill for the members of the Fame Fire Company.

The focus was on one and two man conventional techniques using the irons for inward and outward swinging doors. Fame brought 13 dedicated firemen and trained for 2 hours utilizing our multi-force door prop from Firehouse Innovations. It was a pleasure having the Fame and we hope to have them back soon to put them through an advanced class with different props we have made.

Any fire company wishing to set up a drill is asked to call Station 56 (610) 430-1556 Monday-Friday 0800-1700 hrs and leave a message for Assistant Will or Lieutenant Herman.

With the upcoming prom season, West Chester East High School, West Goshen Police, Goshen Fire Company, and Pennstar teamed up to show juniors and seniors at W.C. East what happens when you drink and drive. This assembly showed everything from taking apart a car with the "JAWS OF LIFE", to EMS, to a patient being flown if injures are bad enough. After the outside assembly students went inside and listened to Officer Cotter of the West Goshen Police. No students were injured in the recreation of this accident.
